Responding to requests
An energy request is a buyer’s enquiry for energy. Depending on the source, several providers may have the opportunity to quote for the same energy request. Each request carries a deadline after which it closes and quotes are no longer accepted. We recommend submitting your quote as early as possible to give it the best chance of being accepted.
How requests reach you
Section titled “How requests reach you”The most common way for providers to receive requests is through the Senergy marketplace, where buyers searching the platform are matched to suitable providers automatically.
Alongside this, you can bring in your own enquiries by embedding a widget on your website or sharing a request link, giving you a steady flow of leads from outside the marketplace as well.
The Senergy marketplace
Section titled “The Senergy marketplace”The marketplace sends you requests from buyers searching Senergy. To receive these, opt in under Settings → Organisation → Marketplace Settings and turn on Opt-in to receive requests from Senergy.
Marketplace requests are shared, not exclusive. Several matching providers see the same request, and the buyer selects from the quotes they receive. Submitting a clear, well-priced quote as early as possible gives you the strongest chance of being chosen. See Market insights for guidance on pricing.
Your request widget and request links
Section titled “Your request widget and request links”Add the widget to your website to capture enquiries from your own visitors, and use a request link to bring in a specific buyer through a link you send them. You receive these requests regardless of your marketplace setting, and they are addressed to your business alone rather than shared with other providers.
Create a direct request link
Section titled “Create a direct request link”From the Requests page, click Create Request Link. You’ll get a unique URL that routes any buyer who clicks it straight to a quote form pre-addressed to your business.
Share it by WhatsApp, email, or on any page where you communicate with prospects. The buyer fills in their property and energy details and the request drops straight into your inbox.
The link is also available from your widget settings, where you can embed the same form on your website with your own branding.
What you can see on a request
Section titled “What you can see on a request”Open a request to see everything the buyer submitted. This is enough to prepare an accurate quote, and none of it reveals the buyer’s contact details until they complete your quote.

Location
The request shows the buyer’s general area and a map pin for the site, which is enough to plan logistics and price for distance. The exact street address becomes visible once the buyer completes your quote. See Customer privacy.
Filtering and sorting your requests
Section titled “Filtering and sorting your requests”The Requests page shows all requests visible to your account. Use the tabs to filter by status:
- All: every request.
- Active: open and accepting quotes.
- Closed: the buyer has concluded the request (deal done or withdrawn).
- Expired: the deadline passed; no new quotes accepted.
- Cancelled: cancelled before conclusion.
Use Only show mine to filter down to requests where you (your user account) are the assigned provider. This is useful in teams where multiple people work the same inbox.
Sort by Date received, Expiry date, or Volume (kWh) to prioritise what you work on first. Use the reference code search field to jump directly to a specific request.
When a request expires
Section titled “When a request expires”Every request has a deadline. Once it passes, the request becomes Expired and stops accepting quotes. It stays visible, along with any quote you have already sent, but you will no longer be able to respond. We recommend submitting your quote while the request is still Active, as expired requests cannot accept new submissions.
Contact details
Section titled “Contact details”While a request is open, the buyer’s name, phone number, email address, and street address are not yet visible. You have access to everything you need to prepare a competitive quote: property type, area, energy requirements, and the appliance survey. The buyer’s full contact details become visible once they complete your quote, at no credit cost. To reach a buyer earlier, you can spend credits to unlock a request’s contact details before you win it. See Unlocking customer details and Customer privacy.
